Ubuntu Project

Ubuntu is a Kirundi word meaning “Grace” and “Kindness.” It can mean different things in Bantu countries (Sub-Saharan Africa), but the common denominator is “Kindness” and “showing humanity to others.”

It is in that perspective that through Ubuntu Project, NCMI wants to show love, kindness and compassion to the poor, the needy and the marginalized.

One of the projects that NCMI has is to build homes and educating the Twa (pygmies) people of Burundi. The Twa people have no land, and they live in hut houses serving other Burundians. Because they are a marginalized group of people, they are very poor and consider themselves as sub-humans. They need the Gospel, but they also need help in accessing basic needs such as shelter, clean water, healthcare, clothing and education.

Through Ubuntu Project, we provide women’s hygienic products to women in churches that we do missions with to better their hygiene and health. We contribute to medical missions and provide clean water to the indigenous when possible. We also help the widows and orphans in less developed communities in collaboration with local churches.

We believe that the Lord will provide all the finances and personnel needed so that these precious people may be helped so that they may have better lives. Your donations to this noble cause are most welcome!
